Mr. Tides 4.0 has gone to Golden Master status. All known bugs have been fixed, everything is working, and once I get the web site up and running, it will be released. Many thanks to everyone who's been helping with the app, I couldn't have done it without you!

The GM version can be found at http://www.mrtides.com/alpha.html (it's not alpha, of course, but it's easier to leave that as-is for now).

I downloaded and tried to install but got an error that the application could not be opened because it was from an unidentified developer.

Should I override and install, or wait for general release?

New in Mountain Lion: you have to open System Preferences, tab "Security" and check Allow downloaded Apps from "Everywhere" in order to download other apps than those from AppStore.

I believe you can also can [control] click on an application icon and select "Open".

Thank you

It should be signed by me, I've put that in. Hmm. I'll double-check and make sure it's set correctly. Thanks for letting me know of the problem!

Hi August,

I found the best way to check the signature is with the Terminal command:

spctl --assess -vvv "your_app_name.app"
