Title: GPSNavX and Rusalka instruments
#1
Tried out rusalka instruments this weekend, and I can't get it to recognise NMEA data from the USB port when GPSNavX is running. It gives me an error along the lines of "An error occurred while trying to access port usbserial0"

How can I get the two applications to run using the same NMEA port?

Only one app at a time can look at the same USB/Serial port.

You could do something like this..

Have the NMEA data come into GPSNavX first. Then select the "Repeat" check box on the GPS Settings drawer on the GPS panel. This will enable the NMEA data to be repeated to a new port. The new port then could be looped back to another USB to serial adapter which Rusulkasoft could use. Basically you are creating a multiplexor here.

Or you could buy a USB multiplexor..
