OK, so I wanted to add a waypoint while sitting in my living room. so i pull up Waypoints and hit NEW which creates the waypoint. I then went over to latitude to enter in the coordinates and this is where the problems begin... (See screenshot)

The field goes "open" so data can be entered
I can put in numbers with no symbols or spaces only.
It will not allow me to exist the field via esc, delete, arrows, ect...so I'm stuck
I then chose to use the DELETE button which removed the entire waypoint but also moved the blank field to my next waypoint...that I do not want to delete.

I was able to close the program, not save waypoints and replicate this again.

What am I missing here?

thanks.
Shawn
Waypoints must be entered in the format you have selected for the Position Format you have selected in the Preferences "Units".

Be sure you are using a format that matches with the coordinates provided. The easiest to enter is HDDD.MM.MMM
Thanks...looks like the "degree" syntax was holding me up...which is what I expected...but it just seemed that there was no way to get the location back to it's previous default with an esc function...so it had me locked if you don't know the solution!
Agree. Next release will allow an easier escape out of editing.
You may find it faster and easier to use the waypoint tool and double click the chart at the position to add a new waypoint—unless you are entering points from a list of lat/lon.
Thanks. That was in the fact the case...I was given a list of gas docks from a friend and figured it would be easiest to put them in manually...
The ideal way to share waypoints or routes would be a GPX or KML file. Then it could simply be imported directly.
