Good progress is made on adding N2K support to MacENC. MacENC v8 uses the Actisense NGT-1 USB gateway to connect to a N2K network ..

If you have a N2K network, are ordering a NGT-1, are a registered user of MacENC, and have an Intel Mac (i.e. Macbook [pro]) send an email to macenc at mac dot com and we will send you an early BETA of MacENC v8 (Supports N2K GPS and Instruments input.)
I'll point out that I was delighted and surprised that the latest official release (7.4?) immediately recognized and reported most of the network off a Maretron USB/N2k interface.

Good work, I had no idea!

I will point out that given the data types available for N2k you might wanna toss in some generalized bar/pie/% graphing ability for tanks/meters/etc

cheers
What driver (if any) did you install for the Mareton USB/N2K interface? I could never get Maretron to confirm their adapter worked on a Mac.
I have a miniplex usb/0813 with a driver... otherwise none.

I was actually installing the windows driver in parallels when I noticed that it was assigned and recognized in osx already.

I fired up MacENC and lo and behold, data!

My wind meter was missing at the time so I haven't seen if I can receive more than GPS/compass/depth (all maretron sensors btw)

hope this helps,

mrfugu
Sounds like the Maretron uses the FTDI driver, but to confirm what is the specific port (name) and rate you have selected in the GPS panel Settings drawer?

MacENC 8 has been tested by Actisense ..
