This is good news and will allow MacENC and iNavX to support Canadian marine charts from Navionics in the very near future ..

This is really great news. I hope the agreement doesn't force Navionics to charge too large of a premium.
I have not heard there will be an price change. This is what I have heard..

MacENC | iNavX-iPad | iNavX-iPhone

2XG - All of Canada $249.00 | $69.99 | $29.99
PREM-C6 - HotMaps Canada $149.00 | $19.99 | $14.99

Which is consistent with Navionics platform specific pricing.
Well, if that's correct it's a superb value for Canadian charts, and I'd get a set as soon as available!
The Canadian Navionics 2XG region from X-Traverse for MacENC is now available ..

The same region will be available for iNavX in a week or so as iNavX 3.1.5 comes online.
Wonderful, and long overdue!!! For the first time it will provide reasonably priced, fully licensed, Canadian vector charts. The iPad version in particular will be an incredible value.

Navionics PREM-C6 HotMaps Premium Canada is now available for MacENC..

As I've said before, this is great news! For a sailor in the Northwest this is essentially the only chart package they would need, as it covers from the deepest corner of Puget Sound to well past the most northern bays I'd Southeast Alaska. It actually goes even further south, covering most of the Washington and Oregon coast, and all of the Navigable Columbia River.

Finally!

But don't delete your rasters just yet. I've been using Navionics Great Lakes along with iNavX and some Navionics large scale charts are missing a lot of detail.
Furthermore the CHS raster charts are updated monthly..
