But not your Navionics charts if you already have them on two iPads...
iNavX runs great on the original iPad 3G and even faster on the new iPad 2 3G. GPS receiver seems comparable to that on iPhone 4 and original iPad 3G.
I use the Navionics charts on the "old" iPad and I notice that the iPad seems to be very busy rendering the charts (especially in areas with a lot of stuff to draw, like the Amsterdam or Stockholm areas) so that the iPad "freezes" for short moments when zooming or scrolling. Would this behaviour improve with the new iPad? (Not that I have budget for that - I am just curious.)

Yes, new iPad 2 does improve chart rendering performance. Although not enough to justify the purchase. I think we will see big speed jumps with each new model of iPad and iPhone.
