I am about to purchase GPSNavX to install
on a new Macbook, OS 10.6.5.

Is there any real diffrence beteen the two versions that are offered?
Support is wonderful from NavX, but then it tends
to be good from Ap-ple as well.

GPSNavX from the app store is the way to go.

p.s. you should do a "Software Update" on your Mac to bring it up to OS X 10.6.7
