To improve visibility in bright daylight, it would help if the main menu buttons along the bottom of the display had better contrast. They are very hard to see on the iPad 2 as it is now.
Other than black and white what colors would you suggest?
White on black is much better than the current shaded gray on black for inactive buttons. Bolded text would be good as well, also for the inactive buttons.
I will see if making the text bold or bigger is available for tab bars. I know the gray for the inactive is done automatically by iOS. So there may not be much customization other then color that can be done to the tab bar.
Unfortunately the official word from Apple is only the tint of the tab bar can be changed. The font size/style is fixed for consistency reasons. So for the time being iNavX is stuck with the Apple look of tab bars.
Ok let's hope for ipads with better sunlight screens...
Recently Apple was awarded a patent in regards to display technology that could improve day light readability. So I think we will see improvements in future devices.
