An AIS transponder can be used as the GPS source for MacENC.
1) Connect AIS Transponder to Mac. Disconnect any other GPS receiver. Be sure to install any USB to Serial software driver for the adapter in use.
2) Launch MacENC from the "Applications" folder.
3) Select "Connect" on the "AIS/RADAR" menu.
4) Select "Settings" button to open Settings drawer.
5) Uncheck "Use GPS Port".
6) Uncheck "Use Instruments Port".
7) Select the Port of the AIS transponder (i.e. KeySerial1, usbserial-xxxx).
8) Select Rate to 38,400.
To see Own vessel info in the GPS panel:
1) Select "Connect" on the "GPS" menu.
2) Select "Settings" button to open Settings drawer.
3) Select "Type" as "IP Only".
