I'm posting this only because I want to find a good home for this system. Ok it's not GPSNavX or uses OS 10 however I used it for almost 5 years and it worked great. So here goes...
Powerbook 1400c w/Sonnot G3 333mhz upgrade card. 6 gig HD, 64 megs ram/max'd Expansion Bay with CD-Rom and Floppy drive. Sorry weak battery, 3Comm 56K PC Card. Mac OS 8.6 which is best for this unit.
Internet capable. Microsoft Office 98, Norton's Utilities,Anti-virus, Tech Tools 1.1.9 Powerbook will come with a Citizen Notebook Printer ll printer, spare thermal cartridge, with all cables. Everything works great.
Now the best part.
Complete Computer Navigational system running NavimaQ 3.03 and NDI P1,P2,P3,Maptech Puget Sound electronic charts. Mr. Tides 2.0.9 classic world tide program. Hook this baby up to your GPS and you have a complete navigational system for your boat. This system worked the last time I used it on my boat, but I have upgraded my powerbook and don't need it anymore. PRICE IS BEST OFFER. Ebay has stock 1400c's going for $55.00 to $85.00 US w/o G3 upgrade or software.
Classic NavimaQ was not bad as a system, but I'm not impressed with their OS 10 software as it does not come close to what GPSNavX does.
If no one wants this system then I'll just remove all software and sell it super cheap. I would prefer not to but when GPSNavX came along it was a no brainer to upgrade everything.
Thanks and take care all.
Patrick
