Hello,
The App Mountain Lion tester shows, that the drivers for BU-353 ans BT-359 will not work with the new OSX. Does somebody know whether there will be new drivers available in time with the launch?

I'm disappointed nobody has replied, and there doesn't seem to be a newer driver on the usglobalsat website. I'm putting off upgrading to Mountain Lion even though I'm eager to ditch Lion, because I use a BU-353. Have you tried it?

GPSNavX Wrote:Using the latest Prolific driver I have found no BU-353 incompatibilities with OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion).
I've just even tried it with 10.9 Maverick and it works fine.
last version of Prolific drivers work also with Mountain Lion and Maverick, but really several month it was incompatible - work, but freeze system when disconnect cable.
There was a bad Prolific driver for Mac OS X 10.8 or later. Version 1.5.0
I recommend either version 1.4 or the newer 1.5.1
Hello,
after installation of Mavericks my prolific driver didn't show up in the system information under usb anymore. I tried to install the 1.5.1 version. But despite the info "Installation successful" it didn't show up either. When trying to follow the desinstallation instructions with the terminal commands it didn't work either. So I am desperate and don't know what to do now. Could somebody help?

Oh, sorry . I found the description. I will try. Thanks. I will let you know, wether it worked.
Hi,
now the driver has been installed and is shown in the systems information as ist should be. But when opening MacEnc I get the message that usb serial is unabel to open port. Please advice. Thank you.

Please contact macenc at mac dot com for further assistance.
I have tested driver PL2303 1.5.1 on my new MacBook Pro / Mavericks and it works nice with MacENC, GPSNavX and others apps.
Maybe one has to delete previous driver before to install 1.5.1.
