I have an iPad 2, with GPS and have been using the iNavX for over 3 years now and really like it. I consider myself a proficient user. I used to regularly update my apps and IOS, but have been reluctant to upgrade either the IOS or apps after the introduction go IOS 8, which I understand slows down the iPad considerably.

For several years now I have had an intermittent problem where the iPad locks rotation on the screen up mode. Eventually it fixes itself either on a cold reboot (may take several) or just with time, or I reset all options on the iPad but it is a PITA when it occurs. The ability to rotate the screen around is really important with iNavX.

I'm now pretty sure this is related to iNavX now. Suspiciously, it seems to occur when I load the iNavX app, not always or even often, but loading the app seems to be the common denominator. When that occurs, the "rotate screen" circle comes on.

Anyways, thought on this and how to correct it?

Ok. A quick update. I powered down the iPad for half an hour and powered it back up again and the screen rotation has returned. iNavX is working properly, but this method or resorimg this capability isn't always successful.

Do you mean the compass calibration screen displays?

I believe I changed iNavX to only display that screen when iNavX has the Instruments view displayed.

To insure you have the latest version of iNavX on your device select "App Store", then select "Updates"
Yes, the compass calibration screen display. The lock rotation problem has happened once again, this time without the compass calibration screen coming up. I will update the app, but I don't think it will make any difference. It is an intermittent problem that I am sure occurs when I load iNavX.

Otherwise, I really like the software.
