I am having problems using the measuring tool in Chart mode. I can double tap and bring up the red and green dots connected with the yellow line. But nowhere on the screen does it show the bearing and distance between the two dots. Am I missing a settings option?
I am using iNavX version 4.7.3 on an iPad Pro on iOS 9.3.1
This is a very needed tool.
Thanks,
Scott
Hi Scott,
When you drag away from the green dot to create the red dot, the Range (NM) and Bearing (°) should appear in a blue bar at the top of the chart.
I don't get a Blue Bar at the top of the chart. I just have the "Chart Name" Bar, the Compass bar and the Instruments bar.
Scott
What chart type/make are you using?
I am using the NOAA Raster Charts
That is the only difference I see so far. I am using vector charts. Do you have any Vector charts from NOAA or Navionics from x-Traverse that you can try?
!By the way, what is in the Instructions bar that you mentioned?
Jon
Thanks for your help. I will try a vector chart later on to see if anything changes.
I meant Instrument Bar. It is right under the Compass and has "Vessel Name", Position, COG, HDG, etc.
Scott
Roger that!

iNavX web site
They will be able to give you a more definitive answer.
I noticed this thread and check to see if I have the same problem and I do. The measure mode has worked in the past and now it doesn't. Other than the app updating nothing has changed on my end. What's up?
iNavX Studios LLC just released version 4.7.4.
Among other things, it "fixes distance measurement tool display".
Thanks for fixing the measuring tool.
