This Device allows any serial port (i.e. Keyspan adapter, Multiplexer) to connect to a NMEA 2000 network
Here's a device that translates NEMA 2000 to NEMA 0183 via USB.

The Maretron converter is NOT Mac OS X compatible.
The Actisense also requires Windows for configuration
What is nice about the Actisense converter is it will connect to a Keyspan USB to serial adapter or a Shipmodul Mux.

Where there is no OS X driver for the Maretron converter USB adapter.

I'm just trying to prod you into writing an OS X configuration app for the Actisense like you did for ShipModul 42.
Wink
i'll 2nd that prod.. and raise you 1 tolerable shareware sized fee... ($30?)
I received this email from Maretron re: a request I made for OSX Driver Compatibility.

"Thank you for your comment. We do recognize the marketplace desire for a MacOSX capability to utilize our USB100 and do intend to address this in future product development.

Thanks, Larry

sounds good to me. ..
The Actisense web page says, "preliminary information" and I do not know any vendor who really has this product in stock. Does anyone know for sure if it has shipped to distribution and is available?
I offered Actisense and Maretron to write the drivers for them, free of charge. Lets see what they say.

For the NGW-1 NMEA 2000/0183 Gateway, [color:red]Actisense[/color] lists a Mac OS X driver for the USG-1. The NGW-1 is currently beta testing though.
