Full Version: Exporting GPX files for Bobcat

Hi,

I have tried exporting waypoints or routes to GPX files in order to import in Bobcat and then load them on my garmin GPS.

When I try to load them in the latest (2.0.0.7) version of Bobcat, I get :
"FILENAME could not be imported."

I have checked the GPX file, and it looks fine to me.

Does anyone know what it takes to import into Bobcat?
Is there any other simple way?

I would like to avoid buying a serial cable ; or having to go through CSV export/modification/reimport.

thanks a lot.

regards,
thomas

ps: i am using what i think is the latest version of macenc. The download link said 6.0 but I just realized the about box now says 5.98 .
Make sure you are using MacENC 6.00. The about box will say MacENC 6.00. There was a change in the GPX file that should allow it to work with BobCat and LoadMyTracks.

If you can't get BobCat to work then use LoadMyTracks..

Thanks for the quick reply.

I could not find a download link for the full version on the web site so I re-downloaded from the link I got in the "MacEnc 6.0" email. It worked this time ... (About box says 6.0).

Bobcat still won't import my gpx waypoints or routes, but it works fine using LoadMyTracks.

Thanks a lot,
thomas
Garmin's Bobcat is still very much a BETA, but we will see if there is something we can do to make it work with MacENC GPX files which seem to work fine with LoadMyTracks, MacGPSPro, TOPO! and other apps.
