- brak - March 5, 2009 ReeferJon, Where do you buy UK charts in S63 format? I'd be interested in trying them. It appears that official site for the hydrographic office does not seem to have an actual way to buy charts. - georgelewisray - March 5, 2009 http://www.chartworld.com/products/nav_enc_info http://www.iho.shom.fr/ECDIS/s63intro.htm - brak - March 5, 2009 Thanks, I am aware of these links I am specifically looking for a way to buy UK admiralty ENC charts from UK admiralty service (or one of their direct distributors). - georgelewisray - March 6, 2009 http://www.ukho.gov.uk/amd/electronicProductsServices.asp http://www.ukho.gov.uk/amd/faqelectronicCharts.asp Where Do I Purchase Electronic Charts? The UKHO offers a range of official electronic chart services to meet all requirements. For more information on the options available contact your Admiralty Chart Agent. Further Information For more information please contact your Admiralty Distributor. A full list of Admiralty Distributors is available here. (http://www.ukho.gov.uk/amd/howToBuy.asp) Alternatively contact the UKHO Helpdesk: Tel: +44 (0)1823 723366 Fax: +44 (0)1823 251816 Email: helpdesk@ukho.gov.uk - brak - March 18, 2009 Well, here it is - PolarView 0.5 is out. This is our first "Beta" (though designation is largely formal). A main feature available in this version is support for S63 charts. This adds world-wide chart coverage, available from all major hydrographic organizations. Retail charts are primarily available through www.chartworld.com though other services exist. Also added day/night color scheme and significantly cleaned up resource use. Of course due to the way S63 protection works, charts are coded to specific product installation unless other arrangements are made with data service or product manufacturer. Visit http://www.polarnavy.com/main/download and have fun - brak - April 10, 2009 For the lack of Linux sailing forum (that I know of anyway), I'll post it here - PolarView 0.5 for Linux is now available. (And now I will get it from the supporters of all operating systems at once *ducks* ) |
