Practical Sailor article says you can make the Mac do this, so you can use your iPad with it. How do ya make the Mac act as a router?

Any Mac can become an AdHoc network. Using MacENC on the Mac and iNavX on iPad you can share the NMEA data..

best variant use any device like TP-Link 3020 or 3040

1) Standard WiFi onboard (we use it also for translate video/audio to iPads and other tasks)
2) 3G or 4G when available
3) Could be integrate with WiFi extender and etc

Hi,
When I try this procedure, MacENC will get the wrong IP address often. I have found that if I run a Parallels virtual machine MacENC will pickup the Parallels virtual IP address rather than the Mac's Ethernet or Airport adapter. I have to restart my computer to get MacENC to work correctly and then it can take 5 more minutes to get the MacENC and iNavX communicating.

Hi!

What did You mean?
You create new network, and MacENC take wrong address?

Dose it the same address shoeing in Network properties?
