Wish list for Mac based software on this site - adjuvantjfoster - September 28, 2006 For example look at <http://www.tiki-navigator.com/> For another example look at http://www.fugawi.com/web/ Are there other rather inexpensive PC based software developers with features you think would enhance the Mac based software on this site? - adjuvantjfoster - September 28, 2006 Quote:For example look at <http://www.tiki-navigator.com/> Oops that first URL format was a sad mixture....sigh... For example look at http://www.tiki-navigator.com/ For another example look at http://www.fugawi.com/web/ Are there other rather inexpensive PC based software developers with features you think would enhance the Mac based software on this site? - gmonacelli - July 12, 2010 Anyone recommend a good vessel/yacht management application for the Mac? Something easy to use and inexpensive like First Mate Yacht Management - http://www.first-mate-software.com. It has: - yacht Info - Vendors - Tasks - Maintenance - Inventory - Fuel Log - Captains log. - gmonacelli - July 24, 2010 Well, I think I find the answer to my own question. BoatLogix. Great program at a very reasonable price, and you can not beat the one-on-one support from Jon! - tquig - December 18, 2010 Try the marinewright free demo. marinewright The Basic version is inexpensive and has an excellent Inventory system. - antipole - December 20, 2010 I am using Bento a lot now, for inventory and almost anything. It is so easy to tailor to one's own needs that there is little point in looking for a marine template for it - just set it up as you want. It also has an iPhone/iPad version, which syncs with the OS/X version, so you can carry your information in your pocket. Only drawback I can see is that it does not interface with NMEA data so will not log your position, but you can import the usual CSV type data so could get navigation data in retrospectively. - George Wade - October 17, 2011 Bento is very good with lots of user generated = NOT guaranteed, but useful, templates. My own favorite for graphically keeping track with future planning is iMindMap, or similar. Mac; Win or Linux. - George Wade - October 17, 2011 This may need its own topic: odd software for special purposes. :o I'm enjoying Keynote, and using it for generating animations in 2D. 3D when time is included. But animation is not the primary purpose for Keynote. Does anyone have recommendations or ideas for diagram / drawing to animation software? Mostly moving a shape or grouped shapes along a path. + Usual effects...? The Apple Store did suggest drawing in Keynote then exporting to iMovie. |
