- Seeker - February 9, 2008 All, I see the same questions in a number of areas and feel bad for asking again, but.. I have Raymarine ST60 instrument series (Wind/Compass/Auto Pilot/Depth) and the Raymarine C80 plotter and GPS. I just purchased the 4Kw Raymarine Radar and mount and intend to connect that to the C80 display as well. I found the MacENC software and had to buy it because it is great! Now I have the desire to add the Bluetooth Multiplexer, AIS receiver (SR161) and antenna splitter to tie everything together and display the Radar/AIS/ and other instrument data on both the C80 and MacENC. Am I missing anything? - GPSNavX - February 9, 2008 Yes a Shipmodul BT-41 or 42 Mux will do the trick. - bobetter - February 11, 2008 Seeker Wrote:All, I see the same questions in a number of areas and feel bad for asking again, but..While the SR161 will work, it is really a single channel unit, i.e. it has 2 receiving channels but only receives on 1 channel at a time. Having used both single and dual channel units, I find the dual channel units MUCH more accurate. I would recommend the SR162 over the 161. Comar also makes a dual channel receive-only in addition to a dual channel transponder for when (...if) the FCC ever gets it's act together.... - bobetter - February 11, 2008 also, you'll probably want to get the BT 42 mux so as to have the capability of setting up filters....the Raymarine system has no such capability and will be problematic in terms of feedback loops if you don't filter sentences in and out of it. |
