- AdrianX - May 17, 2009 Panasonic make a Wifi/Bluetooth capable external waterproof monitor - the CF-08. Has anyone tried to connect to a Mac with such a monitor? Would enable the safer location of a Macbook or Mini and then be able to use the monitor in potentially wet areas. Recognise iNavx allows effectively the same but this monitor offers a bigger screen. Any guidance would be gratefully received. Adrian - boatmonkey - May 21, 2009 The CF 08 is a tablet computer rather than just a monitor so the question would be, will it run MAC OSX I think. - georgelewisray - May 22, 2009 CF-08TX2CX1M Panasonic Toughbook Wireless Display aprox $1600 64MB ROM, 10.4" FT Active Matrix Color LCD, Card reader, WLAN 802.11b+g, Bluetooth v1.2, Windows CE 5.0 Professional Microsoft® Remote Desktop Connection, Citrix® ICA® Client, http://www.panasonic.ca/english/office/notebook/cf08_specs.asp Would love to have one of these!! - matled - June 24, 2009 I use this wireless display with a PC and deckman for windows. Its operating system is windows CE 5.0, that can run a client for windows remote desktop connection. It's also possible to install a VNC client, so a connection to a macwith a running VNC server is possible. I haven't tested it yet but I think I will do it in the following weeks. |
