- oceandove - February 24, 2010 Hi to all I have been looking at Brookhouse a New Zealand company NMEA 0183 multiplexer for the Raymarine C/E series Chartplotters with the SeaTalk and USB options added, cost $307 plus shipping. Have anyone used this multiplexer before? http://brookhouseonline.com/ Regards Derek Ocean Dove - GPSNavX - February 24, 2010 I have not personally used the Brookhouse Mux, but customers report using it with MacENC and GPSNavX. It does require installation of the Prolific USBSerial driver (linked in the Help). Our preference is to either use a Keyspan USB to Serial adapter or a Shipmodul Multiplexer (either USB or Bluetooth). Both GPSNavX and MacENC are very flexible in how they accept NMEA-0183 data. It can come through one serial port or up to three. With MacENC the NMEA data can also come via WiFi. We are in the process of supporting NMEA-2K support, but cannot provide an ETA as working with Actisense and their NGT-1 NMEA 2K USB gateway. |
