- GPSNavX - May 3, 2010 Both iNavX and MacENC can receive NMEA data via TCP/IP. In their respective TCP/IP NMEA data client setups the following host and port can be entered to receive a live AIS feed.. [image]http://www.inavx.com/images/SFAIS.png[/image] If anyone knows of other hosts, please let us know. - Bazzer - May 6, 2010 Hey thanks, now my iphone and iNavx has become more functional! Barry - GPSNavX - August 14, 2010 With iNavX 3.1.2 and later one can enable "AIS Targets Only" in TCP/IP NMEA Client. This allows iNavX to use the "Location Services" of the device (i.e. GPS) for speed, course, position, but still receive the AIS NMEA data over IP (i.e. WiFi or Cell). Reading marinetraffic.com it seems like they will offer NMEA over IP, but so far I couldn't find the host or the port to use. |
