- filthyfathom - September 4, 2010 Can I import routes from nobltech into macENC ? thanks - GPSNavX - September 4, 2010 Lots of versions and variations of "Nobeltec" out there. MacENC can import waypoints and routes in either GPX or KML format. GPSBabel (free application) can take just about any format and convert it to GPX or KML. - filthyfathom - September 6, 2010 Thanks for the info - filthyfathom - October 3, 2010 Followed up on the great file conversion advice and have converted the nobeltec CSV file into GPX. How do I actually import the file into "Routes" in MacEnc ??? Anybody been down this road before ?? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Scotty - GPSNavX - October 3, 2010 Per the MacENC help on "Routes" .. MacENC Menu->"Routes"->"Transfer"->"From File..." Select GPX or KML file to import. - filthyfathom - October 3, 2010 Thanks once again for the help ! When i do the import in the routes drop down...it all ends up in the way points menu ??? Is this how it should be ? Do i then have to drag every waypoint into the route menu or is there a quicker way ? thanks Scotty - GPSNavX - October 3, 2010 The best would be to email me the gpx or kml file for evaluation. Waypoints do not end up in the "Waypoints" menu. A route is made up of waypoints. So if the GPX or KML contains a route, it's waypoints will be imported and list in the "Waypoints" window and the associated route will list in the "Routes" window. If the GPX or KML file only has waypoints then there would be no way for MacENC to create a route. - filthyfathom - October 3, 2010 OK thanks.. I've just sent the file cheers scotty - GPSNavX - October 3, 2010 Yes, the GPX file only contained waypoints. No route. Return to the tool you are using to create the GPX file and have it create a route. - filthyfathom - October 4, 2010 Thanks GPSNavX Along with your help i read some historical posts regarding the same topic. I'll be deep in GPSBabel and GPS Visualiser learning how to do the conversion as a route. cheers scotty |
