- GPSNavX - January 7, 2011 Claiming iPad compatibility, but not sure how this really works .. http://www.mfi.gns-gmbh.com/ - michimac - January 13, 2011 Perhaps some more details. http://www.gns-gmbh.com/index.php?id=194 - darren.achim - January 15, 2011 Hi I found this on the app store Yali software bluetooth gps Which is an iPhone app that allows a program called paper map Run on iPad to use the iPhone as a blutooth gps Is there any way that you could create a similar app that would allow me to use wifi iPad running inavx to use my 3G iPhone 4 gps via Bluetooth.?.??? - cyberhusky - January 23, 2011 A review in German is here plus a video http://www.pocketnavigation.de/article/view_856__gns-5870-mfi/2.4.18.html Apparently it's quiet good, fast, accurate and goes for 10 hours! Works with other non-Apple BT devices too and with all NMEA devices. cons: no replaceable battery touch sensors (it has no buttons but acts like the swipe touch on the iPhone) don't always work. One has to try 1-2 times to switch it ON/OFF. (see video) - GPSNavX - February 9, 2011 I see Dual now has a BT GPS for iPad/iPhone/iPod touch .. http://gps.dualav.com/ - GPSNavX - February 18, 2011 I have confirmation from an iNavX customer, that the GNS 5870 MFI GPS BT Receiver does work with iNavX. - GPSNavX - May 5, 2011 The Dual XGPS150 works great with iPad/iPhone/iPod touch AND Mac. Just remember to slide the mode switch to the left before you pair the unit with your Mac. - bstamerjon - May 29, 2012 Will any bluetooth GPS work with I pad? - GPSNavX - May 29, 2012 No. You must use a BT GPS approved by Apple for use with iPhone/iPad. - skip - September 12, 2013 is their a list of all BT GPS I have been on the net searching for one. Perhaps we should make a list here on the forum. I would like one that is waterproof and uses common batteries. That would be "the best of all possible worlds". I'll keep on searching in the meantime. |
