NOAA ENC Chart Catalog Organization - gjprigge - April 29, 2006
I have been able to download and install a few ENC's in MacENC. However, when i go to install new ENC's, the folder and catalog # are the same?? Is there a sytem to rename these so you don't have 5+ different catalogs in your Chart Manger that all seem to look the same...?

While MacENC can handle multiple Catalog.031 files in different ENC_ROOT folders it is advised to have the entire NOAA ENC catalog..

You can also add any update Catalog.031 you have downloaded. Be sure to remove any previous updates first with the "Remove" button.
In order to avoid having a folder name conflict I recommend renaming the update ENC_ROOT to ENC_ROOT_UPDATE.
