Will MacENC or GPXNavX support the gpsdX daemon? - cyberhusky - May 16, 2006

Hello

I just found gpsdX and gps2ge on this homepage
http://robin.darroch.id.au/gposx.html

The first application is a daemon for one GPS device to be conected to several applications.

The second application is a GoogleEarth viewer to monitor actual GPS positions.

Will or does GPSNavX and MacENC already support this daemon so that I can use the best navigation software with other GPS related applications?

Thx in advance.

I downloaded gps2geX on my iMac Intel OS X 10.4.6 and tried to run it. Crashes on startup.

GPSNavX and MacENC can share the same GPS.

gps2geX needs gpsdX daemon. I tried it on my G4 iBook and G4 Mac Mini and it worked.

I know that MacENC / GPSNavX do share the same GPS data, but with the daemon support I could also use other GPS related software at the same time.

Thx.

Right now the daemon only supports OS X 10.4. MacENC and GPSNavX must also work with OS X 10.3
