- lstyles - October 13, 2011 I got a Dual XGPS 150 for my ipad (no gps/3G) and iphone. They work great with iNavx on these platforms. I have tried using the Dual gps with my macbook pro running OSX Lion and I can't seem to get them to connect. I am currently running the trial version of MacEnc. If I can get this to work then I will download the full program. Has anyone else done this? thanks, Lori - lstyles - October 13, 2011 Never mind! I figured it out...my iphone was connected to the GPS via bluetooth and I guess it won't hook up to two devices simultaneously. Once I turned it off the connection was made! Now to order that MacENC - GPSNavX - October 13, 2011 One thing I have found with the Dual XGPS, is the virtual port created will only exist if the GPS has a fix. But can't get it to connect with GPSNavx on my MacBook Pro. In the Settings pane what type of GPS should I select? What speed? What Port - GPS-Modem? The GPS is paired via Bluetooth with the MacBook. Thanks, Sue - GPSNavX - February 20, 2012 Did you slide the mode switch to the PC/Mac position on the XGPS 150? You need to create a virtual serial port in the Bluetooth System Preferences. Restart GPSNavX or MacENC. Rate 4,800, Type can be "Other" in the GPSNavX/MacENC GPS panel Settings drawer. I still don't like the XGPS 150 for Mac use as the virtual port is only available when the GPS has a fix.
