GPSNavX and MapTech Chartbook CD - Intuition - April 30, 2005

I've copied the BSBCharts folder from the MapTech CD to my "Charts" folder where other charts reside and the GPSNavX 3.2 program doesn't see any charts in the BSBCharts folder. Is there something special that needs to be done to view these charts?

Thanks,
Mark

Using BSB 5.0 / Chart Companion CD charts with GPSNavX - GPSNavX - May 1, 2005

Yes the BSB 5.0 charts must be registered before GPSNavX can use them..

Not so lucky - John&Jan - February 9, 2006

We haven't been so lucky. We're running GPSNavX 2.48 on a Powerbook using OSX 10.3.9. Following the directions we were able to register just fine but when we tried opening the charts it looked like a Mary Kay convention... Lots of pink with some horizonal lines. Any suggestions on how to open the Maptech charts?

Thanks in Advance!

BSB 5.0 charts (those included on the Companion Cd) were not supported in GPSNavX until version 3.20. Contact gpsnavx@mac.com about upgrading to the latest version of GPSNavX.

I downloaded a complete set of charts for GPSNavX 4.0 (for my uses) from the US Gov at the right price - free. http://chartmaker.ncd.noaa.gov/NSD/CPDOWNLOAD.HTM

Why buy charts when the gov'ment will give them to you? The BSB charts will work with GPSNavX and the ENC charts work with MacENC. both are available free.
