- JKar - November 16, 2011 Sorry if this was asked. I did a search and didn't see anything, so I am going to ask. I love iNavX. However is there a way to turn off/disable/not show the internal compass heading(I think it is HDG) in iNavX on my iPad? I am using the Dual GPS150 and it would drive me an my crew nuts when we were passign the iPad around they way the compass would re-orient the boat and heading. Worked fantastically when it was facing forward, but sitting sideways, the crew would always have to twist to get a "bearing". I am planning on installing an iMux in the spring and want the boat compass to be used and not the iPad, so I am thinking that it will have to be disabled for that as well? Thanks, Joel - GPSNavX - November 16, 2011 http://www.macsailing.net/fbb/showtopic.php?tid/1135/ When using an external source of NMEA data (i.e. iMux), iNavX can be configured to either use "Location Services" (i.e. interal GPS, compass) or not (i.e. use external NMEA data for GPS, Compass). - JKar - November 18, 2011 Thanks. I saw it remove the compass from the screen. So when I have the iMux installed and passing my NMEA data, one being my installed magnetic compass, that banner will come back because the HDM sentence is coming through? I really like the red dot showing where I need to go, it just drove me crazy when I passed the iPad around :-) Thanks, Joel |
