Is a trackball usefull on a boat? - cyberhusky - September 19, 2006

I'm thinking of using a BT trackball with my iBook for navigation.
1. I'm not a fan of the trackpad of laptops
2. a mouse needs place on the chart table to move and perhaps a valuable USB port
3. probably the BT trackball can be used on deck with a foldable BT keyboard and an external touchscreen 8" TFT

I'm interested in this device The Ball Bluetooth Wireless Trackball reviewed here http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/the_ball_bluetooth_wireless_trackball

So has any of you guys/girls experience with trackball on boats?

Thx.

Trackball Mouse - Patrick - September 19, 2006

I've used this usb dual mode optical trackball mouse for one year and it works great on my boat. Google this unit:

Take care,
