New to Site, looked but didnt find an active forum for Depth finders. Could someone point me towards info on depth sounder / transducer for my I pad, We are a 50' Loa schooner, Currently on the Hard in Ensenada Mex work yard. Want to install a new transducer that will be compatible with I pad .

I would recommend using a NMEA-0183 transducer from CruzPro connected to a ShipModul Miniplex 2Wi or a Brookhouse iMux. With that iNavX can display depth and all sorts of other instrument data.

Found a wifi sounder called "sonar phone". It works really well. Only comes with a transom mount TDX, but I'm guessing it could work with a through hull as well. For $149.00 might be worth a try.
