- alrter - April 18, 2009 Hi, Official french ENC maps (SHOM maps) have a validity period of either 3, 6 or 12 months (depending on the price you pay). Beyond this period, you do not more benefit from updates. But, do these maps still work with MacEnc beyond that period ? Thanks in advance for your answers, Regards, Arnaud - GPSNavX - April 18, 2009 MacENC does not expire marine charts. It only displays the revision date for reference. So you can use "expired" charts as long as you like with MacENC (or for that matter GPSNavX and iNavX). - Bazzer - April 18, 2009 How about a "check for updated charts" function? Baz - GPSNavX - April 19, 2009 >> "How about a "check for updated charts" function?" << That is a function that will be in iNavX very shortly, but much more challenging for MacENC because MacENC can use charts (both raster and vector) from so many different sources (CD, internet, emailed file, etc) and the source is not tracked in MacENC. - macsolve - April 20, 2009 GPSNavX Wrote:MacENC does not expire marine charts.
