Jade --

I would like to try BoatLog as well. I am registered on this site and am a user of MacENC.

Thanks,
Exile

1st off, Great use for Bento, many thanks for the initial design.

For my use, I've added custom Checklists for common boating tasks in need of precision (engine/genny checks, haulout/winterize, etc.) and am working on applescripting bento with MacENC for automatic instrument/gps input to log entries.

2nd, check out the bento for ipad:

Thanks Mrfugu,

Glad to hear you're extending the features and thanks for the iPad link.

Don't get too deep into the applescript, Bento doesn't support it. If you want automated links to MacENC (or GPSNavX) for NMEA data try BoatLogix.

Regards,
Jon

yeah, kinda nuts, bento2.0 had a very basic applescript dict, enough to make something happen, apparently it never worked properly and disappeared in v3.0.

nuts!

Mrfugu,

There is an applescript "database suite" in the Database Events library. I don't know if this can be applied to the packaged file, bento.bentodb, or not but it may be worth a look.

Jade,

If you would be so kind as to forward the link for boatlog to me as well, it would be appreciated. TIA
