Hi everyone I am a newbie to navigation having just got my first cabin boat 28 ft. Trying to use inavx and finding it has some issues or not obvious settings have done all the tutorials. Every waypoint I add will only change name using a google voice recognition pop up I can never get a ketboard to type it it. Is there a way to disable the voice recognition or just get a keyboard. Google never gets it even close to right.
Thanks in advance
I am boating on great lakes in canada and using a android tablet

I’m trying to use INavX on my iPad which does not have cellular. I was hoping I could connect through my iPhone hotspot, but that does not seem to work. Will INavX on my iPad work with a Bluetooth GPS receiver?
Thanks

Hello everyone,
I introduce myself samuel and I work for the firm Garmin Express Updater .
Let me introduce you to What is Garmin Express updater?
Garmin Express updater is computer software used to update maps and device software by downloading and installing the latest versions on to the device. Because these updates are released by Garmin several times a year and need to be installed to get up to date.
Garmin Map Updates – As we know Map updates provide the latest changes to roads and locations on the map in the navigation device. The map files are large because they contain detailed information. So this takes longer to install.
Software Updates – As Software updates make changes to the operating system files but these smaller files usually download in a few minutes. Garmin Express may ask you to reboot the device. But no need to worry you will be assisted by Garmin Experts who are available 24x7 for every assistance required.

Weird GPS/Route behaviour |

Greetings: Not sure if anyone is still following the MacENC threads ( though it looks like a 64 bit version will be coming out from NavStation, apparently free for previous owners) but if any legacy users are there I wonder if you have any insights on this issue...
I used MacENC successfully (which I have been for many years on a Mac mini running High Sierra) on the first leg of a trip. The next day began I having issues both with my Nexus instruments network and MacENC. Seemed to have sorted out the Nexus issue (? a loose connection) but MacENC now shows correct GPS info from Nexus in the GPS monitor window and continuously updated correct position on the chart except the boat icon remains the circle and dot, not the triangle as it did before. Also when following a route it behaves like it's not getting any GPS info in that it doesn't show any of the ETA or DTW info as before and doesn't advance waypoints like before. Also the GPS monitor window used to show a compass with the red dot for the course to steer but doesn't do that any more.
Strangely if I connect to and open the Instruments window all the data from Nexus is correctly reported AND there's a red dot in the compass that seems to correspond to the proper course to steer. So clearly the Nexus system is delivering GPS, wind, compass and depth info to MacENC but it seems within MacENC that's not being communicated to the route following function.
Anyone encountered that or have suggestions? Thanks
Pat

Kamilo Beach - Trash Beach Hawaii |

Kamilo Beach is located on the Big Island of Hawaii. The beach is in a remote location on the southern tip of the Big Island and is the Southernmost location in the United States. I sailed to the Big Island to Kamilo Beach. The access to the beach from the ocean is not safe as the currents are wild from all directions, and the beach is fronted by volcanic reefs, lava rock reefs that are difficult if not impossible to navigate. I drove a Jeep to Kamlio Beach. The roughly 60-mile drive from took nearly 3 hours from Kailua-Kona to Kamilo Beach was mostly four-wheeling over massive lava flows. The lava rock made for interesting and challenging off-road driving, you can see a video of the road to Kamilo Beach here: https://www.opdera.org/gallery
Kamilo Beach is now nicknamed Trash Beach because of the extreme amount of trash the ends up on the beach. Several tons of trash are removed every year by volunteers yet the trash is still more apparent than sand. Visit the website to view drone footage of the beach, the driving conditions to access the beach, and photos of what we say there.

After sailing through the Great Pacific Garbage Patch a few times I have gained a better understanding of what it is and why it is hard for people to understand it. to address this I have started a non-profit organization to raise awareness of and educate people about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and the dangers of plastic in the oceans of the world. The truth about where the plastic comes from, why it collects in certain areas of the ocean, and how to help.
Please visit the website: www.opdera.org to learn the truth about plastic waste in the oceans of the world. Ocean Plastic Debris Education Research Awareness is a non-profit organization dedicated to discovering and telling the truth about plastic waste in the oceans of the world.

Help importing navionics charts |

I recently purchased an iPad cellular version. I have Navionics with maps downloaded and have since also downloaded iNavX. I am trying to import my Navionics maps but they do not show as available in INavX. I am really having a lot of trouble getting started and not find adequate support online. The videos that I have seen do not look like what is happening in this program. Any help would be very appreciated .
