Title: Furuno GP-30 Doesn't Allow All Functions
#1
I've got a Furuno GP-30 that I've tried to use with MacENC. I can't seem to get the Direction Up, SOG, COG, or the Velocity Vector to function. Is this common, or am I screwing something up?

Note, I get all of the above to work with my USB GPS, and my Garmin 48.

Sounds like it does not send all the NMEA data..

NMEA

The best thing to do would be email a copy/paste of the NMEA data from the GPS panel Monintor drawer. From that I can determine what you need to get things working.

What I would look for is $GPRMC or $GPVTG NMEA data. Without one of those there will be no SOG or COG.
