Title: Raymarine S3 smartpilot & Miniplex lite
#1
My boat has Raymarine instruments S70 on seatalk SG; however, it appears that the S3 Smartpilot Course Computer has NMEA 0183 in & out connections. Is it possible to connect the instruments to the mac running GPSNavx through a Miniplex lite ?
Any experience or expertise is most welcome !

Bonjour François,

Although not identical to your setup, my Raymarine ST4000+ is connected by its NEMA 0183 +/- (instead of seatalk) to my Mac via a Miniplex 42 USB. This setup allows me to automatically switch the autopilot between my GPS units and GPSNavX or MacENC and works quite well.

You may want to consider the Miniplex USB or Miniplex BT instead since they support some seatalk sentences.
