Title: MacENC to support raster charts in addition to NOAA S-57 ENC
#1
MacENC 2.0 will support both display of S-57 ENC vector charts AND BSB 1 - 5 and Softcharts mercator raster charts. The raster charts are directly over laid on the vector charts when enabled. With this comes an added benefit of having complete access to the navaid database in vector charts. What this means is you can click on a navaid on the raster chart and have all the available vector chart data. Both chart types are presented in a scrollable stitched seamless window. Current MacENC customers will receive this new MacENC version 2.0 for no additional cost on or before November 14th.

I'm more and more impressed! I hope to go sailing more often next year and test GPSNavx (I live about 300km away from the Netherlands coast). I hope that European S57 charts will work too by then, I will buy MacENC.

With support for both of S-57 ENC vector charts AND BSB 1 - 5 and Softcharts with the new MacENC 2.0, you can count me in. This is the program I have been waiting for, very exciting news.

I will go pony up and buy it right now.

Thanks for a great product.

tnx
