Title: Hidden Video output functions on iPhone
#2
Quote:The MPTVOutWindow class, while belong to a public framework, is an unpublished class. "Among other reasons, we don't want our software to break," he said, "and we have been very happy with our relationship with Apple. We're going to continue to follow Apple's lead. It's been great for us." He hoped Freeverse would be able to share their demo with Apple and that Apple would move forward with an expanded SDK that opened TV output to developers.

Hidden SDK features transform iPhone into TV gaming device

Once Apple officially publishes the Video Output API, iNavX will support it. Currently it is against the iPhone SDK license agreement to use unpublished API's.

Also I would bet the iPhone battery life would be greatly diminished when the video out is enabled.
