Changing the units is not a common occurrence so the decision was made to leave it on the main iNavX "Setup" instead of taking up more valuable screen real-estate (specifically iPhone) with another button on the chart or more screen nesting.

The standard and default for marine navigation is D*M.M. In fact one should use caution using the other choices as it could result in a user navigation error if they are mixed up.
