Title: Raymarine and Macs
#3
According to the Raymarine website, the RL70CRC will accept these NMEA messages...

http://www.raymarine.com/raymarine/Produ...ourceID=65

GLL, GGA, GLC, GTD, VTG, BWC, BWR, RMA, RMB,RMC, XTE, VHW, HDG, HDM, HDT, DBT, DPT, APB,VLW, MWV,MTW,WPL, RTE and ZDA

When Type is set to "Other" in the GPS Panel Settings drawer, GPSNavX and MacENC will use the $GPWPL message to send waypoints TO the GPS unit. It looks as this message is supported on the RL70CRC which should allow for waypoint transfer. The same for routes with the $GPRTE message.

GPSNavX and MacENC will use the same port (not repeat port) that the GPS data (i.e. position, sog, cog) are received to send waypoints and routes on.

A quick way to transfer a route or waypoint FROM a GPS is to activate it on the GPS unit (typically with a GOTO button).
