Hi GBnorth,
sorry I didn't saw your post.
There was a bug in NMEAremote if the TalkerID is only a whitespace character it didn't work and unfortunately the preconfigured "NMEA over IP" contains this whitespace.
But it is fixed with the recent version.

Documentation is work in progress, but will come.
