Title: Small sunlight-viewable screens...

It would be great to have a daylight viewable monitor, but the cost is still too much for our budget.

We have a 17" 350 cd/m2 monitor on a hinge that swings into the companionway. It is protected by a pair of acrylic companionway doors. When shaded by the hatch, dodger and bimini is it viewable most of the time from the helm.

We keep the mac below and use a Gyration RF mouse from the cockpit to control the system.
