Title: Multiplex help
#1
Here is my problem. I want to hook my G4 Mac Book Pro to my gps (which I have done via USB and Key-span adapter) , radar and tiller pilot. Well the new wifi multiplexors look real good but it is totally out of my price range. I have been looking for posts about the older style multiplexors which I thought were cheaper. I can't seem to find any. I have looked and looked. ALSO... does anyone know if a tiller pilot's flux gate will talk NMEA to the computer ( Raymarine)? I am at the end of refitting out my 35' steel yawl and am at the skinny side of my wallet. Any help would be appreciated.

Perhaps Alastair still has his used mux for sale:
Shipmodul USB for sale

I have tied in my Raymarine flux gate through the auto-pilot unit (ST4000+) using this multiplexer since it converts SeaTalk to NMEA 0183 on one of the input ports.
The heading from the flux gate is then picked up by MacENC or GPSNavX.

Check the back panel of your tiller auto-pilot to see if has SeaTalk ± pins.
