Just seen this article on Panbo for some software called GPSActionReplay, a free Java application for downloading tracks from a GPS and then allowing analysis of this data. Could be perfect for those of us a little anal about maximising our polars!!

Haven't tried this on the Mac yet (stuck on the office PC) but apparently it's fully compatible with OS X.
