1) Select Measure mode in the MacENC or GPSNavX toolbar. It's the button with the diagonal line with red and green dots at ends.
2) Drag on the chart to get distance and bearing. "Units" in the Preferences determine distance units and "True Bearings" on the "View" menu determine true or magnetic bearings.
Notes:
All bearings and distances are computed using Great Circle computation.
If a GPS is connected, then the origin of the bearing and distance will be the GPS position. To measure from a different origin hold down the [command] key before dragging.
To get the reciprocal bearing, hold down the [shift] key.
