Title: Sudden motion sensor issues
#1
I've noticed that all of the newer mac laptops are touted as containing sudden motion sensors to instantly park the heads in the event of a sudden fall. Has anyone tried using an SMS equipped laptop for navigation in rough weather? Apple's advertising claims that the heads remain parked until the computer senses that it is level again. I'm apprehensive that this feature could turn out to be disastrous in stormy weather. Can the feature be disabled if necessary?

Yes it is possible to disable the sudden motion sensing system.

It's explained here and how to reduce sensivity or how to disable it.

Commands need to be typed in a shell.
