Chartworld Chartes are not for indefinite use!!!
Posted by: aguenther - November 20, 2015 03:15 - Forum: MacENC & GPSNavX - Replies (10)

Important to know! See, what chartworld says about use of their charts:

"ChartWorld processes the data from Navionics to your specifications so called folios. Therefore, there is at ChartWorld just map packs for 150,00 Euro as the smallest unit and not individual cells. Within these folios are then countless harbor, main entrance and coastal maps for a specific region. Therefore, there are these folios so not with Navionics itself.
I'm very sorry to be able to offer no alternative, but if you want to enable this folio again for your MacENC software is no way around a license renewal over.
[color:red]I do not want now worry even more, but sooner or later it will most likely undergo similar with the other folios. This information is not designed to be displayed indefinitely after the license expires.[/color]

Hi,
something strange has happened. One of my four chart catalogues doesn't show charts anymore. I three of the four catalogues the license has expired, but I still can use them. Except for this one. Does anybody can help or might at least have an explanation for that?
I would be grateful.

  AIS connection location
Posted by: Jrcardwell - November 14, 2015 09:31 - Forum: iNavX - Replies (2)

First, I love iNavx and have used it to augment my on board navigation tools for about five years. Last summer I added an AIS server and use it to see targets on iNavx. My question is about the awkward location of the AIS connection screen. To get to it, the user needs to Leave the current chart, back two screens, go into preferences, TCP/IP NMEA client, turn on the client and save. That's a lot of steps, but the worst part is there is no way to get back to my chart; am I missing something or can iNavx be made to remember which chart I was on and provide a way to resume without having to select a low res chart from the list and drill back to my detailed chart?

  GlobalSat BR-355S4 Connectivity
Posted by: RichH - October 29, 2015 18:51 - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Have used the BR-355S4 GPS 'puck' for several years with good results.
Since upgrading to OS 10.11, I have problems with connectivity .... cant 'find' the serial port in the GPS utility nor ENC control windows.

Any help appreciated. GlobalSat is wholly unresponsive.

There needs to be a means to suggest changes to this application.

I'll start. Put a link on your website for doing upgrades.

Double Click not working Cannot edit route and waypoint names
Posted by: Night_Sailor - October 20, 2015 09:52 - Forum: MacENC & GPSNavX - Replies (2)

I have had increasing difficulty editing waypoint names and route names to the point where it is nearly impossible now. I've changed track pointer and mouse settings in every conceivable method and nothing works, not even the command click. Why is something as simple as this not working. The Command Click control should work at a minimum. Someone like me who has dozen of routes and hundreds of waypoints, does not need to spend needless time trying to figure out something basic like this. It makes it very difficult to find a route when I need it--to the point now where I am considering erasing all my way points and creating a new route and waypoints every time I use the app. My next choice it to drop using this app and switch to something that works more reliably. Honestly, I chose this app because I like using my Mac for trip planning, but I have not seen the ease of use that Windows based navigation packages have, which were more advanced than this software 20 years ago.
