Title: slow loading charts
#1
I have a lot of charts, both the us dvd supplied by gpsnavx and downloaded encs from uscg- all loaded on my internal hard disk. whenever I start macenc version 6.00 it takes almost five minutes for the first chart to appear. in between, all i have is the spinning beachball. is this normal? should I get rid of some charts? is there any fix for this? I don't remember an interval this long with previous versions, although it seems that with each iteration it gets slower to start. Not critical, but annoying. Macbook Pro 2.16 ghz, macos x 10.5.6

Yes I would try by removing entries "Folder" in the MacENC Chart Manager via the "Remove" button. Also select "Delete All..." on the "Tracks" menu.
