Title: GlobalSat BR-355S4 Connectivity
#1
Have used the BR-355S4 GPS 'puck' for several years with good results.
Since upgrading to OS 10.11, I have problems with connectivity .... cant 'find' the serial port in the GPS utility nor ENC control windows.

Any help appreciated. GlobalSat is wholly unresponsive.

You probably need to temporarily turn off the SIP in El Capitan and download a new driver:

PROBLEM SOLVED using Francis Fustlier's Blog site. Also works to connect GlobalSAT Bluetooth BT-821C

Many many thanks for this invaluable info.
