In the iNavX 2.0.5 -> SetUp you can disable auto lock.

So the iPhone screen won't sleep.

Realize that the screen locking, the iPhone is not powered off. Only the screen is. Only holding down the lock button and home button for a couple seconds and selecting "slider to power off" will actually turn off the iPhone.
